As a dancer of traditional Haitian
dance for the past 12 years, Shawn seeks positions that
allow him to teach and share what he has learned. He
believes that the richness of the culture can be seen
through the dance, and enhances his instruction with
lectures on culture and religion to help bring focus
to the movement as it relates to the rhythms.
Shawn has performed with modern and
traditional Haitian dance companies including Adiva
Dance Company, Our Thing Dance Company, and Groupe Petit
le Croix. He has taught classes at a variety of venues
including 24 Hour Fitness, Santa Clara University,
Motion Pacific dance studio, and 418 Project
dance studio in Santa Cruz, CA.
